Eligibility & Qualifications
Candidates applying for this position must satisfy the following educational and personal requirements:
General Requirements:
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Must possess excellent moral character.
- Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post and to serve in any part of the island.
- Age Limit: Must be between 18 and 45 years of age.
Educational Qualifications:
- G.C.E. O/L: Must have passed 6 subjects in one sitting with Credit passes (C) for Sinhala/Tamil, English, Mathematics, and one other subject.
- G.C.E. A/L: Must have passed 3 subjects (excluding the Common General Test).
- Language Requirements: Since recruitment is for Tamil-medium operations, qualifications must be completed in the Tamil medium. Knowledge of the Sinhala language will be considered a special qualification.
- Additional/Preferred Qualification: Having completed a computer course on Office Software (Microsoft Office) of not less than six (06) months from a government-recognized institute is considered an added advantage (Must be proven by certificates).
Salary Scale and Benefits
- Salary Code: MA 1-2 (According to Public Service Circular No. 01/2025).
- Salary Scale: $46,220 – 10 \times 540 – 7 \times 630 – 12 \times 1,080 – 12 \times 1,280 – 84,350$.
- Starting Salary (As of 01.01.2026): Rs. 43,312/- per month.
- Additional Allowances: The government-approved cost of living allowance and incentive allowances will be paid in addition to the basic salary.
Recruitment & Selection Process
- Eligible candidates who meet the selection criteria will be called for an interview.
- The selected candidate will be recruited on a permanent basis, subject to a three (03) year probation period.
- The appointing authority is the Chairman of the Ayurveda Medical Council.
