Basic Position Details
- Number of Vacancies: 6 positions
- Service Conditions: Permanent and pensionable. Includes a 3-year probation period during which you must pass the 1st Efficiency Bar Examination. You must also achieve the required official language proficiency within 5 years of appointment.
- Monthly Salary Scale: Rs. 53,060 – 10 x 800 – 11 x 1,190 – 10 x 1,320 – 5 x 1,350 – Rs. 94,100/- (Salary Code: MN-4/2025). Government-approved allowances will also be added.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Character: Must have an excellent character.
- Age Limit: Between 21 and 35 years old as of July 13, 2026 (Date of birth must fall on or before July 13, 2005, and on or after July 13, 1991).
- Educational Qualifications: Must possess a degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
- Physical Fitness: Must have adequate physical and mental fitness to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
Examination & Selection Process
The selection consists of a written examination followed by a general interview.
1. Written Examination Structure
The exam can be taken in Sinhala, Tamil, or English. However, you must answer both papers in the same language.
- Paper 01: Language Ability
- Time: 2 Hours
- Total Marks: 100 (Minimum 40% required to pass)
- Syllabus: Expression, comprehension, spelling, essay writing, drafting a letter, creating graphs/tables from data, summarizing texts, and simple grammar.
- Paper 02: Aptitude
- Time: 1 Hour
- Total Marks: 100 (Minimum 40% required to pass)
- Syllabus: Numerical ability, logical reasoning, and general intelligence.
2. Interview
Candidates who score at least 40% in each paper will be ranked based on their total score. Top scorers equal to the number of vacancies will be called for a general interview. Note: No marks are awarded at the interview; it is strictly to verify certificates and eligibility.
