Examination Details

The recruitment will be based on an open competitive examination scheduled for September 2026. It consists of two papers:

  1. Comprehension (1.5 hours): Testing the ability to understand texts and provide explanations/summaries.
  2. Intelligence Test (1.25 hours): Multiple-choice questions assessing logical reasoning, analytical skills, and decision-making.
  • Pass Mark: Candidates must score at least 40% in each paper to be considered.
  • Language: The exam can be taken in either Sinhala or Tamil.

Salary Scale

  • Based on Public Administration Circular 10/2025 (MN-05-2025):
    • Rs. 58,660 – 10 x 1,190 – 11 x 1,360 – 15 x 1,670 – 110,570.

Examination Centers

The exam will be held in various districts including Colombo, Gampaha, Kandy, Galle, Jaffna, Batticaloa, Badulla, and others. Applicants should choose the district closest to their permanent residence.
